“ I was drawn into the restaurant by the sign out front reading "Best Cajun Gumbo". I LOVE gumbo... without okra. I know that most people probably prefer that their gumbo contain okra, but it's a deal breaker for me, so I can't comment on the gumbo. I did order some fried shrimp and fish. Both were excellent and came with thick crinkle cut fries that were cooked to perfection. Service and food were both great, so I give this place two thumbs up! ”

“ This is a pleasant surprise in Rusk, Texas, a quaint East Texas town with limited eateries. The fish is very good. The stuffed crab, obviously not homemade, has an nice taste and texture. My granddaughter's hamburger was perfectly cooked. If we get a chance to visit again, I would like to try the gumbo. If they could provide homemade tarter sauce and red sauce, that would really make them shine. I hope the area residents help keep this place going. ”

“ Huge fried shrimp and baked potato were awesome! The staff was super nice and helpful, very nice women. We got fried rice to-go because multiple other people did while we were there. We figure why not try that too! It smells amazing but have yet to try that. Can't wait! For sure worth the stop. ”
